Storyborn glimmers are faithful representations of how a character appeared in their original story and can represent that character at any given point within their story. Like all glimmers, Illumineers may cast storyborn glimmers from any ink type, and their depiction will usually reflect the ink's influence while remaining true to the appearance of the character themselves. Storyborn glimmers are critical in preserving stories as they originally existed, without alteration.
—Collector's Guide
The most common form of Glimmer, Storyborn glimmers are exact copies of their source characters, being how they originally appeared during the story. Each Storyborn represents a specific moment in the original tale that the character was involved in from the story's beginning, middle, or end. This allows for a variety of Storyborn Glimmers made from the character.[1][2]
