Martin is one of the protagonists in Disney Lorcana. A red-haired young man summoned to Lorcana supposedly around the same time as Venturo and before Shanzay, Martin is the creative spark of the trio. He is musically talented, and his Inkcaster has the ability to produce sounds like a guitar.

Personality

Martin has a passion for music and loves to come up with new notes on the fly. Of his friends, Martin is the most introverted and timid, often showing times when he worries that his music isn't as good as he hopes it to be and finds himself in doubt with his creativity. Despite this, he is very loyal toward his friends and always puts their well-being above his own. Furthermore, he does have his moments of ingenuity, as shown when he demonstrated a moment of quick-thinking to save Venturo from the Flood of ink. This combination of dedication, creativity, and flexibility supposedly influences his inclination toward Amber Emerald inks.

History

Martin discovers a mysterious lorebook.

Martin was one of the new Illumineers summoned to Lorcana, arriving sometime before Shanzay did. He discovered a mysterious Lorebook in a somewhat hidden Inkcasting room inside The Great Illuminary covered in seaweed and barnacles. Due to the lorebook's lock being lyrical in nature, Martin was beckoned to open it and played the lock's missing notes on his inkcaster.Upon opening an unknown evil escaped from the book and a flood of ink changed Glimmers into Floodborn forms. Fleeing down a hallway before a wave of ink came crashing down carring various items he tried to stretch from a door frame to reach Triton's Trident before noticing that Venturo was also being dragged by the flood. He opted for helping Venturo out of the ink instead of gettin the Trident. They both ended in a balcony overseeing the Inklands observing the spilled ink changing the lands below.

After the confrontation with Ursula, Martin found an Amber Medallion hidden deep within The Great Illuminary, it gave him the confidence to perform in front of a crowd celebrating.

• He embodies the Amber and Emerald inks, as reflected in his primarily yellow clothing and green beanie.
• In the second story trailer, one of the patterns on Martin's jean jacket is a flag patch with the colors of the trans pride flag. This may imply that Martin is transgender.
