A Version name is the unique string of characters that distinguishes a Character or Location from other variants. Many characters have multiple versions, with differences ranging from Rarity, Cost, Strength, Willpower, Lore Value, Ability or even Ink. A deck can include as many multiple versions of a Character or Location as desired but only 4 cards of each Version. Cards with alternate art are still considered the same card if the Card names are identical. As expected, the character with the most versions is Mickey Mouse with a total of 14.
Gameplay wise, characters and locations with same or different versions can be in play at the same time. The Shift ability allows a player to play a card on top of another character with the same name, regardles of their version.
