Lorcana Storylore
The following is an overview on the storylore of Disney Lorcana. This list encompasses all aspects of the Lorcana setting, including fundamental elements, history, locations, and infrastructure. Information on the narrative and ongoing story arcs is outlined below.
Lorcana (realm)
The magical realm of Lorcana is made up of vast regions called the Inklands. At the center of it all lies the Great Illuminary. Lorcana is notable for being the first location where Illumineers learned to use magical ink to summon Glimmers. The realm encompass natural environments such as forests, jungles, wetlands as well as topographic features like islands, mountains, deep oceans, and rivers.
On rivers throughout the Inklands, the little steamboat's whistle answers the cheery tunes of its pilot.
The realm is not infinite, there seems to be a dark void surrounding it where complete darkness prevails.
“So you see, there's a dark void at the edge of Lorcana. A complete absence of electromagnetic radiation! What's it made of? I don't know! The light's just gone. Kaput!”
The Flood of magic ink released by an unknowing Illumineer caused changes in the Inklands.
The Great Illuminary
The Great Illuminary is located at the center of the realm of Lorcana. Illumineers first arrive here under a giant Lorcana sigil in what seems to be a portal room. An immense reservoir of magical ink, the source of Lorcana's power, fills the lower reaches of the Great Illuminary where glowing lines of color flow. Although it was used ages ago as headquarters for The Curator and the Original Illumineers in their efforts to preserve Lore, it became abandoned and inhabited only by Magic Brooms repeating the same tasks. It now houses a new generation of Illumineers.
In the immense story‐forge known as the Great Illuminary, there is always work to be done.
Inkcasting Station
A vast atrium hall inside the Great Illuminary adorned with wide low entasis columns. A mechanism in the center of the room is used by Illumineers to create Glimmers. More than one Inkcasting Station seem to exist inside the Great Illuminary, including one covered by black ink and seaweed.
Hall of Lorcana
A spacious Hall adorned with bookshelves and stairways inside of The Great Illuminary. It's best known to be filled with bluish spheres that house all the items of Lore gathered by The Curator. It was the room most affected by The Flood, being inundated by magic ink after a huge wave crashed causing all of the artifacts to be washed away into the Inklands. Like so much other lore, Peter Pan's dagger was safe in the Great Illuminary until the flood.
It stands in the Hall of Lorcana, waiting for someone to speak the secret words.
Glimmer
Glimmers are physical summons of Disney characters, items and locations created from magical ink and based on a Story Star. Multiple copies of the same Glimmer can exist at the same time. Glimmers can naturally be Storyborn or Dreamborn, depending if they are an exact copy of the Story star or if an Illumineer reimagined it. The release of a chaotic Flood of ink brought about for either kind of Glimmer to take Floodborn characteristics. In order to summon a Glimmer an Illummineer requires an Inkcaster, a Lorebook and a Story Star's light.
Recreated by magical ink, Elsa found herself in an entirely new world. Fortunately, ice works the same way everywhere.
Story Star
A story star is a moment from a Disney story formed from gathering enough lore. Story stars can be captured and housed by the Starcatcher and other enormous, whirling contraptions inside The Great Illuminary.[1] By harnessing its power, an Illumineer is able to use ink and a lorebook to create a glimmer.
Illumineer
An Illumineer is an extraordinary and creative person summoned by a power deep within The Great Illuminary to master the power of Lorcana.[2] They are able to use an Inkcaster combining magical ink and the light of story stars on a lorebook to create Glimmers. Players take on the role of an Illumineer as they traverse the realm of Lorcana.
The Curator
The Curator is a mysterious figure who sought to collect and preserve lore. He was both responsible for creating the contraptions that would capture and house story stars as well as the person who trained the Original Illumineers as apprentices. The Curator is also recognized as the one who discovered how to use magical ink on the pages of a lorebook to summon Glimmers. The Curator is long gone by the time the storyline of Lorcana takes place.
Shanzay
A young girl who embodies the Amethyst and Steel inks, and a member of the main Illumineer trio in Lorcana. She is an aspiring poet, and wields a pen-shaped inkcaster.
Martin
A red-haired young man who embodies the Amber and Emerald inks, and a member of the main Illumineer trio in Lorcana. He is a quiet musician, and wields a guitar-shaped inkcaster.
Venturo
A black-haired young man who embodies the Ruby and Sapphire inks, and a member of the main Illumineer trio in Lorcana. He is a tech-savvy computer programmer, and wields a gauntlet-shaped inkcaster.
Archazia
An ancient Illumineer and a member of the original apprentices gathered by the Curator at the beginning of Lorcana. She resides on Hexwell Island as the guardian of the Hexwell, where she protects the secrets of inkcasting and her past as an Illumineer.

Shanzay arrives in Lorcana
The story of Shanzay and every Illumineer deemed talented enough begins when the are teleported to Lorcana. Appearing in a room over a giant sigil, they find other Illumineers already there eager to meet the new member.
A little ingenuity and a lot of heart will take you far in this world.

The Flood Unleashed The Great Illuminary is humming with activity. After an age of empty hallways-except for the occasional magic broom, of course-clusters of Illumineers hurry from room to room once more. New arrivals stare around in wonder, both at the marvels of the Illuminary and at the character glimmers passing by. Something isn't right. She sprints out from her inkcasting station and down the arched hallway. Just as she rounds a bend, she hears a loud CRASH. An Illumineer she doesn't know stumbles from a doorway. Reaching him, Shanzay glimpses the ruins of a shattered ink column beyond and magic ink spilling across the floor. The shaken Illumineer waves off her concern as more rumbles and cries pull her onward. She looks around for the Illumineers and sees that they've pulled themselves up onto a pedestal holding a brightly glowing gem. They're safe ... for now. Mixed ink is still spilling through the cavernous room, carrying away pieces of lore. Shanzay frowns, narrowing her eyes at a sudden thought. Shanzay's mind races. Did this unpredictable mixed ink affect any of the glimmers she herself cast? Did the flood carry any away? Were other Illumineers in trouble somewhere? And what could unleash such chaos and destruction? |
The Flood
Martin opened a mysterious Lorebook, starting a flood of magical Ink that washed away the items guarded in the Hall of Lorcana. Amongst them, the most important spellbook.
“We can confirm the ink flood was caused by an explosion. We have it under control‐now clear the area.”
“Let me get this straight. Your ‘magic’ spellbook got washed away in a flood of ‘magic’ ink?”

Recovering the Artifacts
Illumineers enlisted Glimmers to help them search for the lost lore after The Flood. One of the most important items was the spellbook.
The Illumineers needed someone to find a missing spellbook, and Peter was the first to volunteer.
The glow of lore in the flood caught her eye. “The spellbook!” she cried. “Don't let it get away!”

A lone Bruno Madrigal Glimmer in a dark and gloomy cave peeks into the future by command of the powerful Ursula Glimmer that escaped from the hidden Lorebook. The prophecy foretells that the three Illumineers will challenge her and her army of controlled Glimmers.

Shimmering Skies Storyline
The Amber Medallion
With Ursula defeated and her Entangled army free from her control, the Illumineers and their Glimmers celebrate their victory with a grand festival at The Great Illuminary. Martin is on stage, nervious to perform before the crowds. During the festivities, however, parts of it suddenly start to fall off crashing to the ground. A Merlin Glimmer uses his visionary powers to see an Amber medallion located somewhere in the Great Illuminary. As the Illumineers investigate, Martin and a Basil Glimmer discover a hidden staircase in the Hall of Lorcana that leads deeper into the Great Illuminary. This distracts a Kronk Glimmer from guarding the door; he follows the pair into a chamber where they find the Amber medallion. Meanwhile, an unknown figure takes advantage of Kronk's absence to get close to the Half Hexwell Crown. Wearing the medallion gives Martin the confidence to perform at the festival.

After The Flood the halls of The Great Illuminary were taken over a huge amount of seaweed and barnacles. Some Glimmers commented on how unusual and worrying they find this.
Wherever the seaweed had come from, Mickey was sure of one thing: something fishy was going on.
“Sorcery! I knew there was something dubious going on here.”
Unbeknownst to them, the culprit of both the flood and the commotion was a powerful Ursula glimmer that escaped from an ancient and sealed away spellbook. In the end, however, Magic Brooms were the ones tasked with cleaning up the mess.
Just a few barnacles away from retirement ...
Several glimmers try to contain the damage caused by the flood across the Inklands, as well as investigate the wherabouts of the mysterious lorebook.
“We can confirm the ink flood was caused by an explosion. We have it under control‐now clear the area.”
“Let me get this straight. Your ‘magic’ spellbook got washed away in a flood of ‘magic’ ink?”
The power of ice may not stop the flood, but it will help protect Lorcana.

With the Flood throwing Lorcana into chaos and all the Lore scattered in the Inklands, Illumineers created and recruited Glimmers to help them find the lore to avoid it falling into the wrong hands.
Several glimmers are sent down to uncover the missing lore that was washed in the flood.
He raced into the Inklands without a thought.
The Illumineers needed someone to find a missing spellbook, and Peter was the first to volunteer.
“Ahoy! There's lore out there, and I'm g‐gonna find it!”
“Finding lore is a lot easier when you have a grappling hook!”
Scrooge McDuck is able to find his lost Lucky Dime.
He can make money anywhere.
As they are searching, other villains begin scouring lore and other artifacts for themselves. The Queen of Hearts seeks Yen Sid's spellbook and sends her knights to find it.
The glow of lore in the flood caught her eye. “The spellbook!” she cried. “Don't let it get away!”
Madame Medusa orders her lackey, Mr. Snoops, to find more lore for herself.
“Finding lore will be as easy as taking candy from children.”
“This is simple, Snoops! I want that lore! The one that shines like a diamond!”

As this is happening, Ursula moves in to recruit other villains. Some like Nessus refuse her offer.
He sent the eels away when they came with the sea witch's offer. He didn't need her help making trouble.
Some like Hans accept her offer.
Hans was confident he could bring Anna to Ursula‐all he needed was something of Kristoff's to lure her in.
Some glimmers wait to see what the actions of Ursula may be and prepare their operations in advance; Hades, one such villain, operates covertly in the shadows.
“This neat little scheme has Ursula's tentacles all over it. That sneaky sea witch ... Wait! I can use this. She can keep those obnoxious Illumineers busy while I roll out my own plan.”
Maleficent sends Diablo to monitor Ursula's scheme.
“Keep an eye on the sea witch, my pet. Tell me everything.”

Search for the Sorcerer's Hat

Due to the Flood, The Sorcerer's Hat was one of the artifacts swept away into the Inklands. Mickey and Minnie embark on an adventure to search for it.
Mickey knew just where to start searching for the Sorcerer's Hat, but he didn't expect it to be guarded.
They discocer the hat is guarded inside a cave by Gustav.
Pluto helps distract Gustav so Minnie can enter undetected.
She'll never cave under pressure.
Minnie approaches it with caution, suspecting a trap.
Minnie approached it cautiously. Whoever had placed it here might have prepared traps.
The magic hat is soon returned to the Great Illuminary.[3]

Dewey finds another shard of the crystal.

Louie manages to find the last shard.
“Found the last one!”
Ariel and the Hidden Inkcaster

While searching for the enchanted items lost in the Flood, Ariel discovers a mysterious Inkcaster in a hidden cove of the Inklands.[4]

This inkcaster is acquired by Daisy as a clue during the Illumineers' search of the Azurite Seas.
"The answers we're looking for are on the other side of that maze, I just know it!"
Upon arriving at the island of the Owl, it is revealed the Inkcaster is the tool of Archazia.[5]
The Jolly Roger

Captain Hook commands his pirates to acquire lore from the Inklands, so Peter Pan and the Lost Boys stage an attack on the Jolly Roger.
As a fight breaks out on the Jolly Roger, Cubby breaks off the wheel of the ship, and The Lost Boys make off with it while Captain Hook orders them to give chase.
“Catch them! Before they get away!”
While the pirates are distracted, Tinker Bell creates a Aurelian Gyrosensor installing it in a new wheel, and with the combined help of Wendy Darling they are able to take control of the Jolly Roger and investigate the surrounding Inklands looking for lost lore.
She lives in a world of possibilities.

After the Ursula glimmer is released from the mysterious lorebook, she plots to reunite the Half Hexwell Crown. As this is happening, another Ursula begins collecting lore while searching for King Triton's Trident.
“Ursula needs lore to complete her plan....”
“There must be powerful lore here, very powerful.”
“I don't want much‐just the most powerful lore!”
The Mad Sea Witch approaches her and proposes they work together to rule Lorcana. To ensure both parties' cooperation, they each apply their signature to a Signed Contract.
“With both the crown and the trident, together we would be unstoppable!”
However, Deceiver Ursula realizes she has been double-crossed by her double and tries to take the crown by force. Despite her attempts, the other Ursula gets both items and becomes a stronger Floodborn version, transforming herself and her minions Flotsam and Jetsam.
“How dare you double‐cross me!” Ursula shouted, lunging at the other glimmer.
He snatched the trident from the betrayed glimmer.
“After her, Flotsam! I can't rule Lorcana without the Hexwell Crown!”
“Now the crown and the trident are mine!”

These minions then move on to begin bewitching other glimmers to become a part of Ursula's army.

The Eye of the Storm |
As the Illumineers are searching for the lost lore, Ursula begins stirring up trouble for the Illumineers.
Ursula causes a storm at the edge of Lorcana not easily accessible by boat.
The storm came out of nowhere, forcing Eric to turn back before he reached the mysterious structure at the edge of Lorcana.
“I've spotted a strange structure on the horizon. Hard to port, helmsman!”
With her power growing, Ursula sends the eels across Lorcana and corrupt more Glimmers into her army.

“You go ahead, Minnie! I'm going to see if there's any lore over here.”
While deep-sea diving looking for Lore, a Minnie Mouse glimmer becomes separated from a Donald Duck glimmer.
She discovers an underwater lair from which emanates a purple glow. She becomes the first glimmer captured by Ursula as part of her plan to rule Lorcana. Ursula uses Entangling Magic to brain wash Minnie into doing her bidding.
“The first-and best-of my entangled glimmers.”

Reign of Jafar: “How dare you? Arm yourself, scoundrel!”
Captain Hook approaches some competition at Skull Rock, brandishing a captured fairy in their direction.
“An obvious choice, of course. So full of treachery and deceit. He reminds me of ... me.”
–Ursula
He is, however, captured and entangled alongside the rest of Ursula's glimmer army, his rapier being the only trace of him left behind.
- The Mermaid
The mermaids told Peter they'd seen some items floating by several days earlier, but they were more concerned that one of their sisters had gone missing.
One of the mermaids have gone missing, perhaps the same one seen swimming pass the porthole behind Wendy.
- Anna
Convinced by Ursula to help ensnare Anna, Hans takes Kristoff's hat.
Hans was confident he could bring Anna to Ursula‐all he needed was something of Kristoff's to lure her in.
Out in the storm, Olaf finds Kristoff's hat and notifies Anna.
“Isn't this Kristoff's hat? If he went this way, he'll be caught in that storm!”
Anna falls for the ruse, and heads into the storm to save Kristoff.
Elsa tries to help Anna, but Anna is captured before Elsa can stop the storm.
Whilst traversing the storm Anna is found and ensnared by Ursula.
“Ah, royalty! So pretty. So naive. So utterly impressionable.”

- Prince Eric
After failing once to capture the future king, Ursula comes up with a new plan
This magic will certainly do the trick.
With Ariel's voice, it is simple for Ursula (disguised as Vanessa) to bring Prince Eric under her control and convince him to marry her.
- Bruno
Bruno foresees Ursula's corruption of the other glimmers, but he breaks the slab and goes into hiding. However, due to his strong powers, Ursula entangles the glimmer.
“His particular talents have already come in quite handy.”

Mirabel finds the remnants of the prophecy with key pieces missing, so the other Madrigals start searching for Bruno and the prophecy pieces in the Inklands.
“Why would Bruno break this prophecy? Could it be something dangerous? We have to find out!”
He spotted a mysterious glow in the mountains nearby. Could it be the missing piece of the prophecy?
There's no way Ursula's creatures are getting to that donkey.
“This rock? No problem. Go get that prophecy, hermana!”
Sinister wisps also try to take a hold of the families' light.
Mirabel reassembles the final piece, where it reveals that Bruno has already been ensnared by Ursula.
- HeiHei
HeiHei's entanglement was an enigma; even Ursula was not sure why or how the chicken was added.
He doesn't know why he's here. Neither does Ursula.
- Hercules
A good guy to have around when something wrecks your inkworks.
Hercules valiantly resisted Ursula's mind control, but in the end, he too fell to Ursula's entanglement.
- Jafar
Like Hercules, Jafar's strong will made it hard for Ursula to take him at first before he ultimately succumbed.
“With such a strong will, he was difficult to entangle. But I always get my way in the end.”

- Mad Hatter
Ursula entangled the Mad Hatter to serve as her zealot.
“He's simply wild for parties. He's already celebrating my victory!”

Many Glimmers soon fell under Ursula's thrall, particularly for strength and abilities she could use from them.
“Her quaint spells are little more than trifles compared to my own. Still, she does have her uses.”

“He loves a problem he can sink his teeth into.”

“It's called a distraction, angelfish. Look it up.”
–Ursula
Glimmers did their best to fight back and save their loved ones after fighting off the entanglement; however, few succeeded.
“We must work together to heal the entangled.”
Some preferred to stay as far from danger as they could. Others were lucky enough to escape, including Mulan, Li Shang, Raya, Namaari, and John Silver.
Ursula's messengers fled, leaving behind tendrils of dark ink.
His training was unsurpassed, but it was his courage that would see him through this fight.
“There are too many for me. But not for us.”
“Strange things be at the edge of the map: sea witches, entangled glimmers, and whatnot. I'll stay with me ship, thank you.”
Lumiere, kidnapped by the brainwashed Minnie Glimmer,[6] is handed off to Flotsam and Jetsam to be turned. They fail to entrance the candelabra, however, as Beast rescues Lumiere from them, though he suffers a terrible price.[7]
“The invaders are at our gates, mes amis! It's time to show them what we're made of.”

After Beast is injured from a fight, Belle desperately searches for a cure, and settles on a dangerous solution.
Beast fights off Ursula's tendrils while rescuing Lumiere from the eels, but the wounds linger and cause intense pain.[7]
It wasn't the severity of the wounds but the sickly substance that caused such unbearable pain.
Belle's limited experience is not enough to deal with the problem.
She finds the Mystical Rose that the Enchantress had used as part of Beast's curse, and decides to make one last desperate attempt to save him.
The rose was transformed into a magical lantern with the ability to heal even the worst wounds, but at an unknown cost.
The transformed rose made short work of the Beast's wound. But even the gentlest magic comes at a cost.
Transforming the rose had the effect of transforming Belle as well. Time would tell what the results of this change would be.
The mixed ink had changed more than just the rose.

Children are a dog's best friend.
A Floodborn Fairy Godmother conjures up a magical sword for a Floodborn Cinderella to fight with. However, it gets chipped during the battle.
He'd searched across the Inklands for the young woman who'd stolen his heart at the ball, only to find more mysteries.
Afterwards a Dreamborn Prince Charming finds the shard while searching for Cinderella.
Finding the Sea Duck

The right tool makes all the difference.
After a crash into a swamp-like area, Kit Cloudkicker and Wildcat search for the Sea Duck and their equipment.
Discovered in the lost Sea Duck, it looked good as new.
After getting back into the ship they find the lost Airfoil but after getting back out they encounter Don Carnage and Thaddeus E. Klang.
“You didn't expect to find me here, did you? Well neither did I.”
“Soon the bells will ring in the sound of your doom!”
And after some mid-air manoeuvres, Kit manages to escape.
Thrilled to have his airfoil back, he launched into the Inklands.
“It's been fun, guys, but I got to be going. Yahoooo!”

A Vision of Discovery |
During the festival after Ursula's defeat, pieces of the Great Illuminary begin to fall from the sky.
“Oh me, oh my! Did a piece just fall off the Illuminary?! I've got to tell someone before it's too late, late, late!”
“Oh my! Is that part of the Illuminary? I have to go help!”
A piece hits Merlin on the head, causing Merlin to foretell six magical artifacts called Chromicons hidden within the Illuminary. Learning the Chromicons will be vital for the Illumineers in the future, the heroes embark on a search for them throughout the Illuminary.[8]
Martin and a Basil glimmer locate the Amber Chromicon inside a secret room beneath the depths of the Hall of Lorcana.
“We must repair the Illuminary before it’s too late. And we’ll need these devices, these chromicons, to fix it.”
Venturo sent Merlin to lead a group with Scrooge McDuck glimmer, who acquired a map from the first hidden room, and a Donald Duck glimmer. However, they fail to find a room due to spending too much time studying the map itself.
“There’s just gotta be one of those chromi-thingies around here somewhere!”

While Moana is searching the Hall of Lorcana, the map leads her toward a bookshelf. Hearing a noise, she realizes there is a deep gap between two of the bookshelves, and inside is a switch that reveals a door hidden behind. Merlin opens it, and a hidden room is revealed—with the Sapphire Chromicon inside.
“Investigate every part of the Illuminary, find the chromicons, restore the Illuminary, how hard can it–wait, what was that noise?”
"Just think! All this knowledge was under our noses the whole time. We only had to look in the right place."

An accidental mishap leads to an all-out banquet brawl at the celebration.
When a Goofy Glimmer carries several dishes toward the partygoers, an errant slip causes the plates to scatter across the tent.
“Gawrsh, who ordered the... upside-down CAA-AA-AKE?”
This incites his friends as they resort to attacking each other with pastries.
Underestimating him is a recipe for disaster.
She has an unblemished record.
Several Glimmers take part in the merry scene of chaos while others watch the spectacle as it unravels; Minnie invents contraptions to fire cupcakes while Donald's nephews start taking cover.
This puts the Frosting Flinger 2000 to shame.
A few, like Pete, take advantage of the commotion to pick up extra food lying around.
His half-baked scheme to whisk away the food almost worked. But in the end, he got his just desserts.

The Illumineers' victory festival draws in Glimmers to mingle and participate in several activities.
Several Glimmers attend to the carnival games at the fair.

Donald Duck takes on a darts game and wins a prize for Daisy.
He keeps his eye on the prize.
Aladdin, with Genie's help, challenges Gaston in a boxing match while Pete referees the match. Soon, however, another Pete jumps into the ring determined to take on all the fighters for the winning title.
"It ain't cheatin' if you're the one makin' the rules."
He'll have you seeing double.
Hades and Hercules partake in an arm-wrestling contest with the loser threatened with banishment to the lorebook.
Maximus, Flynn Rider, Tinker Bell, and Stitch take part in a tug-of-war with each other.
It’s easy to get carried away when it comes to tug‐of‐war.
He's not the biggest glimmer on the team, but he still packs a wallop.
Robin Hood participates in some sports games, including an archery game he effortlessly wins.
“For a second there, I thought this might be a real challenge.”
A dance is held inside the ballroom of the Illuminary.
He loves to share the spotlight with a star like Minnie.
She doesn't seek the spotlight‐the spotlight seeks her.
Clarabelle is hesitant to join in at first, though a Floodborn variation ultimately rules the dance floor.
“Golly! Those dancers can really moo‐ve!”

During the Chromicon investigation, Basil returns to the room of the Sea Witch Queen's lorebook and finds a piece of the Hexwell Crown that fell off the half in the Great Illuminary.
“I say, a piece of the Hexwell Crown!” –Basil
However, a rogue Jafar Glimmer magically hypnotizes a Basil Glimmer with his snake staff to serve him as his detective. Under Jafar's control, the Basil Glimmer is compelled to find the broken Hexwell crown kept under the Illumineers' watch.[9]
"No one will keep me from the broken crown!"
Suddenly, Basil felt a strong desire to find the broken crown.
Basil deals with the Illuminary's security, where he then finds a piece of the crown.
"A security device! Easily defeated, of course. Once I make room for the crown, I... can... bring... it... to... him."
With the defenses disabled, Jafar retrieves that half. He then uses his enhanced magic to further hypnotize Basil, who is already showing signs of fighting off the hypnosis.
Meanwhile, Dawson is searching for the whereabouts of Basil, unaware that his partner has been hypnotized. Olivia aids him, and during the search, she discovers something peculiar.
“By Jove, he must be around here somewhere. Basil! Basil! Shout if-aaahhh!”
She had searched high and low in the Illuminary for any hint of Basil. Instead, she found something completely unexpected ...
With the assistance of a hypnotized Yokai glimmer,[10] Jafar sends Basil into the Inklands to find the missing crown.
“I see the other half, in the Inklands. Quick, my tiny companion! Fetch me that crown!”

The Glimmer discovers the other half of the Crown has vanished, with only bird-like footprints left behind.
“Hmm. Footprints from a large... owl? With droplets of water? Clearly some avian menace has crossed the Azurite Sea and absconded with the crown!”
At Archazia's island, Basil soon collects the last piece of the crown and returns it to Jafar.
"The final part of the crown! Jafar will be pleased."
Martin notices a set of small footprints, suspecting they belong to Basil.
One glance at the tiny tracks, and his protective instincts kicked in.
After Jafar gains the Hexwell Crown, Basil is from his control and returns to the Illumineers' side, where he assists them by tying up Jafar's guards.[11][12]

While Ursula's reign is taking Lorcana by storm, Hades decides to use the opportunity to hatch a new scheme while the Illumineers are preoccupied.
“This neat little scheme has Ursula's tentacles all over it. That sneaky sea witch ... Wait! I can use this. She can keep those obnoxious Illumineers busy while I roll out my own plan.”
Roping in the help of a reluctant Megara, Hades begins carrying out the plan's next phase.[13]
“The sooner we get this done, the sooner I'm free . . . of you.”
