Deck

Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Deck is a pile of cards that a player can Draw from during play. Each player uses their own individual Deck during a game.

All your cards including the Action, Character, Item and Location cards are placed in the Deck.

At the start of the game, the Deck is shuffled, and then placed face-down in the Deck area of the field. All cards in the Deck remain face-down throughout the game, and no player may view the contents of any player's Deck unless a card Ability allows them to.

Deck construction restrictions

Core

  • The Deck must contain at least 60 cards. There is no limit to the number of cards inside the deck as long as there are at least 60 cards.
  • A player's Deck can contain a maximum of four copies of any single card with the exact same Card Name.
For Character cards and Location cards, the Card Name includes the Name and Version. For example, Stitch - New Dog is a treated as a different card from Stitch - Rock Star, so a player may play four copies of each card in their Deck. Because this is based on card names, it means that enchanted cards and alternate-art promo cards count as being the same card as their non-enchanted counterparts. A player may not have four of each, only up to four in total.
    • Dalmatian Puppy - Tail Wagger overrides this rule, and allows a player to have up to ninety-nine copies.
    • Microbots overrides this rule, and allows a player to have an unlimited number of copies.
  • A player's Deck can only contain cards from one or two Inks.
  • Players may not use any banned cards. Currently, no cards are banned.
  • Players may only include cards that have a standard card back, and not the golden card back.

Draft/Sealed

  • The deck must contain at least 40 cards.
  • Decks can only be made out of the cards in the card pool that was drafted (draft) or opened (sealed).
  • There is no limit on the number of inks in a deck.
  • There is no limit on the number of copies of each card a player can have in their deck.
