Discard pile
The Discard pile, also referred to in some cards as discard, is where cards are placed after they have been discarded, or after they have been played.
There are 4 general ways for a card to be placed in the Discard pile.
- After an Action or Song card has finished using its Ability.
- An Item or Character card that has been Banished.
- After a character has accumulated Damage equal to or greater than the amount of Willpower it has.
- When an Ability directly states to place a card into the discard.
Take note that in some cards, the word Discard refers to the action of discarding a card from your hand, such as Tinker Bell - Tiny Tactician, while in other cards such as Captain Hook - Captain of the Jolly Roger, the word Discard is used to refer to the Discard pile.
Players are allowed to look at any discard pile at any time and cards in the discard pile must be placed face up.
There are abilities that relate to returning a card from the Discard Pile back to the hand. An example of such an Ability would be Hades - Lord of the Underworld's WELL OF SOULS ability.
WELL OF SOULS
When you play this character, return a character card from your discard to your hand.
