Hand

Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Hand is an area where players hold cards that have been drawn, but not yet used.

The act of adding the top card of the Deck to the hand is known as Drawing. The act of moving a card from the hand to the Discard pile is known as discarding.

At the start of the game, each player draws seven cards, then performs a Mulligan, where they choose any number of cards from their hand to put on the bottom of their Deck, then draws the same number of cards, and then shuffles their Deck.

Players may only look at their own hands, and not those of another player.

During a player's main phase, that player may play cards from their hand. They may also, once per turn, place a card from their hand face-down into their Inkwell.

There is no maximum hand size.[1]
