In Disney Lorcana, a Damage counter is a game token that is placed on a character card to indicate that it has taken Damage.
The damage could be as a result of a Challenge or it could be caused by a card effect, such as Fire the Cannons! or Smash.
If a character ever has damage counters on it equal to or greater than its willpower, then that character is banished.
Currently, a "-1", a "-3", and a "-5" counter are known to exist. However, using them is optional, and players can keep track of damage in any unofficial way that they like. It is unknown if further types of official counters will exist.
