- If A Whole New World is played and you discard 5 cards, Sheriff of Nottingham - Corrupt Official TAXES SHOULD HURT ability will allow you to deal 1 damage per card, 1 damage at a time (With a total of 5 damage).[1]
If for any reason the challenger or challenged character is removed from play (For example Banished), the challenge ends. The game skips to the end of the challenge step where all effects of "while challenging" end and play continues.
- If you use Sheriff of Nottingham - Corrupt Official to challenge Cursed Merfolk - Ursula's Handiwork and discard a card from their POOR SOULS ability, you may use Sheriff of Nottingham's TAXES SHOULD HURT ability to deal 1 damage to Cursed Merfolk and banish it. In this case since Cursed Merfolk was removed from the challenge, the challenge ends.[2]
