Prince John - Greediest of All

Prince John - Greediest of All allows you to draw a card per card discarded by the opponent, even if multiple cards were discarded by a single ability.

  • For example, if you played A Whole New World while Prince John - Greediest of All is on your field, both players would first discard all cards in their hand and draw 7 cards, then you would draw the same amount of cards that the opponent discarded through the effect of A Whole New World.[1]

Prince John - Greediest of All only triggers once when A Whole New World is played, regardless of the amount of cards discarded by A Whole New World. You may only choose to either not trigger Prince John, or draw the same amount of cards in that one instance.[2]

  • For example, if the opponent discarded 3 cards when A Whole New World was played while you have Prince John - Greediest of All on your field, you may only choose to draw 3 cards if you use Prince John's ability, or draw 0 cards if you do not use his ability. You may not choose to only draw 1 or 2 cards.[2]
  • If you have Prince John - Greediest of All in play and you play You Have Forgotten Me to make your opponent discard 2 cards, you may only choose to draw 2 cards if you use Prince John's ability, or draw 0 cards if you do not use his ability. You may not choose to only draw 1 card.[3]
