D23 Expo
The D23 Expo is an annual convention event with the tagline of being "The Ultimate Disney Fan Event". The D refers to Disney while 23 refers to 1923 which is the year that Walt Disney founded the company.
D23 Expo 2022
During the D23 Expo 2022, Disney announced a brand new collaboration with Ravensburger to launch Disney Lorcana, a brand new trading card game which will release it's first product The First Chapter[1] in fall 2023.
During the event, attendees were given the opportunity to purchase limited amounts of the D23 Expo 2022 Collector's Set while participants of the booth could also receive a D23 Expo 2022 promotional card which includes a pin of Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor.
Members of the press were given a pin featuring the Disney Lorcana logo, which the pin was also given to visitors who asked or traded for the pin.
A video tour of the Lorcana booth was also shared on their official Twitter, where graphics designer Shane Smith gave the tour while sharing some basic information regarding the lore of Lorcana.
